About Euro Quality Coatings
Euro Quality Coatings Ltd (EQC) is an established powder coating applicator serving a wide variety of industries including automotive, architectural, building products, road, rail, retail, leisure, and office products.
Initially founded in 1994 to accommodate the demanding requirements of the Japanese consumer electronics market, EQC has continuously evolved, expanding into other product sectors including high quality automotive and architectural work. Our comprehensive multi stage pre-treatment and powder coating facilities include both zirconium phosphate pre-treatment conforming to BS EN 13438:2013 and chromate-free pretreatment conforming to BS EN 12206-1:2021.
Our facilities also include a Chemical stripping process plant, ensuring we can provide a full service to our customers.
Quality
Attention to quality at every stage of the finishing process is maintained through a series of comprehensive in process controls, end of line inspection and end of line testing.
In process controls include routine monitoring of chemical strengths, water quality, application gun pressures and oven temperature.
End of line inspection is carried out by trained inspection staff according to customer criteria.
Routine testing is carried out for every job undertaken and includes: gloss level testing to ISO 2813, adhesion testing to ISO 2409, powder cure testing and also measurement of dry film thickness to ISO 2360. On top of our end of line routine testing, additional tests consisting of bend test to ISO 1519, impact test to ISO 6272-1 and permeability test are being carried out.
Continuous Improvement
Euro Quality Coatings have been involved in the Wales Quality Award process which is based on the highly regarded EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) business excellence model. This process allows us to benchmark ourselves against other organizations and further improve our business through the feedback report, assessor visits and areas for improvement that have been identified.
Also our process is audited (internally and externally) in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 environmental standard and powder suppliers approved applicator schemes.

Our commitment to quality and service means that our plant is subject to ongoing investment in new equipment ensuring that we remain at the forefront of powder coating technology.
The powder coating facilities are split into 2 main areas:
The different type of facilities available enables us to choose the best process route for any component. Some components lend themselves to automatic application whilst others are better suited to manual spraying. We are also able to undertake intricate masking which includes leaving areas uncoated for the purpose of electro-magnetic conductivity, fit and function.
Location
Our advanced powder coating facility is conveniently located in Cardiff, Wales in a spacious location with excellent access a short distance from the M4 motorway.
